Max hails from Yakima, Washington. In 2011, he graduated from West Valley High School and moved to Spokane to attend college at Gonzaga University. Max graduated summa cum laude from Gonzaga in 2015, with majors in Spanish and International Relations and a minor in Economics. Max maintains a working proficiency in Spanish.

Max subsequently moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend law school at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. While in law school, Max received awards for receiving the highest grade in the class (called, “CALI Awards for Excellence”) in:

  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation

  • Trust Law

  • Professional Sports Law

  • Nanotechnology

Max also served as an Associate Editor for the ABA-accredited Jurimetrics Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. Ultimately, Max graduated cum laude in 2018.

Upon receiving his Juris Doctorate, Max returned to Washington to practice civil litigation. He began his legal career in Yakima, and, subsequently, he worked as an associate attorney at a mid-sized firm in Spokane.

Max joined the Riverside team in October 2022, with experience defending and prosecuting complex civil litigation. More specifically, Max has litigated multi-million-dollar wage and hour class actions; alleged violations of federal and state trade secrets law; employment discrimination and retaliation claims; and, among other things, contract and real estate disputes. Max also has years of experience (i) defending medical malpractice claims and (ii) prosecuting residential and commercial evictions and judicial and non-judicial foreclosures.

Max is currently licensed to practice law in Idaho and Washington, and he takes a measured, solution-oriented approach to litigation and client advocacy, generally. He, therefore, takes pride in being an exceptional listener, brief-writer, and oral advocate.
